A classic looking, low time, Cessna 195A, with a Jacobs 300hp R-755A2 seven cylinder radial. The aircraft was imported into Australia in 1993 and has had four owners since then. The aircraft was originally known as "Executive Sweet" with livery to reflect the Business Liner brand Cessna was targeting with the hub and spoke model. The aircraft has been fully restored and the paint scheme is now similar to the original when it was manufactured in 1950. This is a fantastic robust aircraft, enjoyable to fly and own. It generally demands low maintenance and has lived in hangars for all of it's Australian life. I have owned the aircraft for the last 14 years. The 195 was the last radial aircraft Cessna built. This aircraft has extended range fuel tanks (the large version at 410litres total capacity), cruise at 135 knots.
Aircraft parts (rarely needed), are readily available with many 195's still flying in the USA and Canada. There are about 700 still flying and about seven in Australia. There is a Cessna 195 Club of which there is an international community supporting all things 195. |
